Ginger Root Extract
Ginger contains naturally occurring bioactive compounds, including gingerols and shogaols, which are responsible for many of its characteristic properties.
What does the research say?
Ginger has attracted interest in sports research for its potential effects on exercise-related muscle soreness and recovery.
In one randomised controlled trial, daily ginger supplementation was associated with reduced muscle pain following eccentric exercise. A systematic review of ginger in sport also found evidence that supplementation may modestly reduce muscle pain following exercise, although research into its effects on performance and recovery remains limited.

Why it's in our formula
We use 1,000 mg of ginger root extract per serving. We chose ginger because of the emerging research around exercise and recovery, alongside its naturally occurring bioactive compounds including gingerols and shogaols.
